Having grown up with a father who is a musician, my first piano lessons were with him. I've always been surrounded by music and decided early on that it was going to be a huge part of my life.
My musical background is a diploma in piano performance from Mohawk College, I have also taken part-time courses through York University as well as a Kodaly course through Wilfrid Laurier University.
Before we moved to Guelph in 2015, I ran a full piano studio from our home in Toronto. Since moving to Guelph I have enjoyed a variety of other musical experiences over the years, including, Music Director at Arkell United Church and various other teaching roles.
Currently there has been a refocusing on building a small home piano studio. I love teaching and finding ways to connect with each student!
My goal as a music educator has always been to foster knowledge and an appreciation for music. Not only have I spent most of my life studying classical piano but have also studied jazz theory, voice, flute. I'm a firm believer that to teach anything to others, one must always keep learning which is one of the reasons why I continue to attend workshops, learn French and learning all I can about pottery!!
I can't wait to bring the joy of music to you and your family and help you become a music maker🎹
